Px48 locomotive – a brief history

Px48 is Poland’s most popular narrow-gauge steam locomotive, produced between 1950 and 1955 by the Fablok plant in Chrzanów. It was designed based on the earlier Px29 model, with improvements such as an enclosed driver’s box and raised platforms.
